A Legacy of Dedication & Community Service
Founded in 1930, the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Company (RVFC) was the first volunteer fire department in eastern Baltimore County. Initially, the company purchased a used engine housed at Heinbuch’s florist shop on Philadelphia Road, later moving to a remodeled Rosedale School in 1935. In 1989, RVFC relocated to its current station, enhancing its capacity to serve the community.
Today, RVFC operates with a diverse team, including business owners, engineers, law enforcement officers, medical technologists, construction workers, career firefighters, and paramedics. Their primary response area extends from the Baltimore City line eastward along the Pulaski Highway corridor, covering Interstate 95 north to the Beltway, reaching as far north as Rossville and Overlea, and south to where Eastern Avenue meets the city line.
🚒 From firefighting to emergency medical services, RVFC stands ready to protect and serve! 🚑
