Group Visits
The museum is free to visit and groups are welcomed to come by whenever we are open to the public. If you would like to have a private tour or learning session please use one of the forms below to enquire about a viisit.
Visiting with a group some things to know
Our gallery is a compact space, best suited for groups of up to 20 people exploring at one time. You’ll be welcomed by our front-of-house team, made up of helpful volunteers, who do their best to ensure a fun, safe, and informative visit for all.
If you’re planning to visit with more than 20 people, we kindly ask that you fill out the form below even if you don’t need a guided tour. Because the gallery is quite cosy, knowing about your visit in advance helps us make sure everyone has a great experience.
For young visitors, we offer a range of fun activities, which you can explore on our Families and Young People page. We also have explorer sheets and other engaging materials for older children, which can be picked up at the front desk.
Our historical appliances are displayed openly on raised axels and are not suitable for touching or climbing. We really appreciate it when group leaders take a moment beforehand to brief their group about this aspect of the exhibits.
To help all our visitors feel welcome and prepared, we’ve created an Accessibility page with resources like our Pre-Visit Visual Story, Sensory Maps, and more. We recommend taking a look before your visit—it’s useful for everyone!
If you have any questions while planning your group visit, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’re happy to help!
